*3D-Secure transactions are handled directly between Shopify and Cardinal Commerce, however, you can use your existing Smartpay Fuse 3DS keys and continue to be billed for the service through Smartpay Fuse preventing the requirement to sign any additonal agreements with Shopify

Getting Started

Prerequisites

You will be able to configure this integration to either Test or Live. If you do not yet have a live Smartpay Fuse account, or you wish to first test the integration, then creating a sandbox account will not only allow you to start programmatic integration but also provides access to the Enterprise Business Centre servicing portal.

  1. Visit our sandbox creation page here.
  2. Complete the registration form.
  3. Click submit to create your sandbox account.

Note: on submitting your application, you will receive an automated email from our partner, Cybersource, with first time login and password reset instructions. Be sure to check your junk mailbox if this doesn’t arrive within 2 minutes of clicking Submit.

Before starting configuration of your Shopify instance you are required to generate your SOAP keys within your Enterprise Business Centre for both (Live) and (Test)

a.       Sign into your Enterprise Business Centre account (Live) or (Test). 

b.       Access Payment Configuration -> Key Management

c.       Select the 'Generate Key' button in the top right hand corner

d.       Select your key type as 'SOAP Toolkit' and Generate Key

e.       Copy your Shared Secret Key values and save them securely

Enable the Plugin

The Cyersource integration does not need to be downloaded but it does require enabling within your Shopify Payment settings

a.       Sign in with your Shopify account

b.       Once on the Admin Page select 'Settings'.

c.        Select 'Payments'.

d.        Click the Hyperlink for "See all other providers"

e.        Select 'Cybersource'

Configure the Plugin - Card Payments

Now that you have enabled the plugin within Shopify it's time to configure the installation

a.       Sign in to your Shopify Back Office
b.       Access "Settings -> Payments"
c.        Select 'Manage' link on Cybersource tile
d.        Enter the required information

  1. Login -> your Smartpay Fuse Org ID
  2. Transaction Key -> SOAP Key generated in step 1
  3. Select the card types you wish to accept (including Apple Pay)
  4. Select/deselect 'Enable Test Mode' depending on system being configured
  5. Select 'Activate/Save Cybersource' button to save configuration

Retrieve Payer Authentication Credentials.

To configure 3D Secure, you will need to retrieve from your Enterprise Business Centre account (Live) or (Test) your Payer Authentication credentials.

a.       Navigate to the Payer Authentication Configuration tab, under Payment Configuration.
b.       Click Next to proceed.
c.       Select the Download icon beside Download Credentials.
d.       Open the downloaded file containing your API Identifier, Org Unit ID and API Key.

 

Configure Plugin - 3D Secure

a.       Sign in to your Shopify Back Office
b.       Access "Settings -> Payments"
c.        Select 'Manage' link on Cybersource tile
d.        Enter the required 3D Secure information

  1. Select Enable 3D Secure with Cardinal
  2. Input your API Identifier
  3. Input your Org Unit ID
  4. Input your API Key
  5. Enter the Transaction URL:
    TEST -> https://centineltest.cardinalcommerce.com/maps/txns.asp
    LIVE -> https://Cybersource.cardinalcommerce.com/maps/txns.asp

e.        Select 'Save'.

Validate/Test the installation

Now you have enabled and configured the plugin now is the time to check your integration works.

a.        Open your Shopify Web Store
b.        Add an item to the Cart and proceed to checkout
c.        Enter Shipping information
d.        Enter test card information*
e.        Select Pay Now

View in Enterprise Business Centre

After processing your order it may be beneficial to log into you Enterprise Business Centre account, and review the transaction

*If you're testing Payer Authentication please use the test cards contained within this guide.
