Introduction to Account Updater

Account Updater helps you to keep stored card data up to date so that you can improve authorization success rates by cutting down on declined payments related to lost, stolen, or expired cards. Account Updater updates card data stored on your servers

or in the

Barclays

tokenization system, called the

Token Management Service

(

TMS

)

. The updates include expiration dates, card numbers, and brands.

Account Updater provides a single interface to access updates from the Visa Account Updater and Mastercard Automatic Billing Updater services. If you are using

TMS

,

Barclays

also provides updates to you from the American Express Cardrefresher service.
