Supported Authorization Features

Smartpay Fuse
supports these authorization features:
  • Address Verification System (AVS)
: used in countries where merchants collect billing information from customers.
If placeholder billing information is used, you can instruct
    Smartpay Fuse
to ignore the result of the AVS check by including an "Ignore AVS result" field in authorizations.
  • Card Verification Number (CVN)
security code on the reverse side of the card.
    Smartpay Fuse
recommends that you collect the CVN for every customer-initiated transaction. Never store the CVN value.
CVN is an optional field within the
    Smartpay Fuse
protocol. If you do not collect this field from your customers, you can instruct
    Smartpay Fuse
to ignore the result of the CVN check by including an "Ignore CVN result" field in authorizations. Ignoring the CVN result may lead to a higher authorization decline rate.
